Novel written by Brian thomas Manly . A story about the ghost of the great Sandow, a 19th century strong man who returns to the world for adulation and worship. Main characters are aged pop star Stevie G and his Cat Dorian. Stevie has a taste for the great Sandow and is subsiquently visited . First to notice Sandow"s ghostly presence is Dorian and Steve"s friend Marylin. Later Steve discovers an old man in an institution . Gordon was also visited by Sandow in far less liberal times and was "put away" for his perversion. Steve visits Gordon hears the sorry tale and sets out to help re unite Gordon and Sandow in some way. The book is very funny . It is a little Ortonesque in style , often exposing the characters most flawed, funny and human attributes. still available at somehitwonders.co.uk ......................B,Manly 2009

Like Britain’s John Stott, Eugene presented an example of a Christian leader who practiced what he preached, a role model sorely needed in a time when the media focus on those who succumb to temptation.

Louis, Missouri, to Roswell M. and Frances Reed Field, both of New England ancestry, Field claimed two birthdates—2 and 3 September —in later years so that if friends forgot him on the first day, they could remember him on the second. And the book about the donkey your father read to you every night when you were three, it’s still around – older, a little worse for wear.

But it still remembers the way your laughter made its pages tremble with joy. Then there was that book, just last week, in the bookstore. It caught your eye.
